Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter could meet in the US Open third round after being drawn in the same quarter.
Raducanu will face 2020 Australian Open winner Sofia Kenin in the first round and if she wins could meet American Jessica Pegula in round two while Boutler’s tournament begins against a qualifier. Harriet Dart has been drawn against Chloe Paquet of France.
In the men’s draw, Jack Draper is projected to meet third seed Carlos Alcaraz in the third round but faces China’s Zhizhen Zhang in the opening round. Daniel Evans has been handed a tough draw in the shape of Russian Karen Khachanov.
Elsewhere, men’s world No 1 Jannik Sinner has been drawn in the same half as French Open and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz which means they could meet in the semi-finals. Alcaraz will start off against a qualifier while Sinner opens against American Mackenzie McDonald. Paris Olympics gold medalist Novak Djokovic also begins against a qualifier.
Coco Gauff, who won her first grand slam title last year in New York, is the No 3 seed and opens against Varvara Gracheva of France.
Notable first-round matches include two-time US Open champion Naomi Osaka against tenth seed Jelena Ostapenko, 2019 winner Bianca Andreescu faces French Open and Wimbledon runner-up Jasmine Paolini and American Ben Shelton versus 2020 champion Dominic Thiem, who was handed a wildcard into his final grand slam tournament.

The US Open starts on Monday, August 26 and finishes on Sunday, September 8.

The men’s and women’s singles champions will each take home £2.8m and the runners-up will earn £1.4m.
Prize money for progression through the earlier rounds is as follows: first round (£77,813); second round (£108,937); third round (£167,296); round of 16 (£252,890); quarter-finals (£412,405); semi-finals (£778,123).
Is Emma Raducanu playing and what should we expect?
Raducanu is scheduled to play on Tuesday against Sofia Kenin. The 21-year-old has a tough draw with Kenin, currently ranked 55th in the world and a former Australian Open champion.
American sixth seed Jessica Pegula is likely to be waiting in the second round and if Raducanu wins there is the possibility of an all-British third round tie against Katie Boulter.

Jack Draper will hope to shake off the controversy that surrounds him with a first-round win over Zhizhen Zhang.
Draper, seeded 25th, comes into the tournament on the back of accusations of cheating after a controversial match point against Felix Auger-Aliassime where the ball appeared to hit the floor on his side of the net before bouncing over.
If the British number one, who is flying the flag in the first grand slam since Andy Murray’s retirement, can progress through the early rounds, a likely third-round meeting with Carlos Alcaraz awaits.
