Roma’s Europa League draw unveiled
Today Roma were presented with their draw for the Europa League campaign of 24/25 season.
The format of the 2024/25 Europa League will be the same as the new Champions League, with the teams facing 8 opponents, drawn from 4 pots (2 for each pot).
After the “championship” phase, there will then be access to the playoffs (for teams not directly qualified), and then continue from the round of 16 onwards.
Roma and Lazio will therefore face 8 teams, 2 for each group, of which 4 at home and 4 away. Obviously, teams from the same country cannot play each other at this stage.
Once the teams have been drawn, the program automatically established the opponents of each club, also sanctioning the matches that will be at home and those away. The first matchday is scheduled for 25 and 26 September 2024. The final is set for 21 May 2025 at the San Mamés stadium in Bilbao, Spain.
Roma were picked with the following teams:
Frankfurt (home);
Tottenham (away);
Braga (home);
AZ Alkmaar (away);
Dynamo Kiev (home);
Union SG (away);
Athletic Bilbao (home);
Elfsborg (away).
