Official: Barcelona teenage prodigy earns Spain call-up for Nations League games
Barcelona teenage prodigy Pau Cubarsi has earned a call-up to the Spanish national team for their upcoming matches against Denmark and Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League.
Cubarsi was not part of the initial squad list named by La Roja manager Luis de la Fuente, who had initially called up four Barça stars in Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Marc Casado, and Dani Olmo.
However, Yamal had to withdraw from the squad after suffering an injury last week.
Now, Cubarsi has entered the list, with the 17-year-old centre-back being called up as a replacement for Pau Torres, with the Aston Villa defender out with injury.

There were expectations that Inigo Martinez, who has been in exceptional form this season, might be called up to replace Torres.
However, De la Fuente has decided to bring Cubarsi up to the senior national team roster, who will now join the national team setup later today.
