Liverpool could offer €5m-a-year contract to lure Ligue 1 star on Arsenal radar
LOSC Lille striker Jonathan David has been linked with a move away from the French club in recent months.
The 24-year-old Canadian international is reportedly a target for Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal. According to a report from InterLive, Inter Milan are keen on signing the striker as well and they are currently in pole position to secure his signature. However, they will have to compete with the two English clubs and it remains to be seen whether they can win the race.
Liverpool are keen on signing the player and the report states that they would be willing to offer €25 million for him. It remains to be seen whether the Premier League side step up their interest with an official offer to sign the Canadian. Liverpool could offer him wages of around €5 million per season as well. The report states that David will be offered a five-year contract at Anfield.

Jonathan David might fancy Liverpool switch
The opportunity to move to Liverpool will be quite attractive for the striker and he will look to prove himself in the Premier League. He has shown his quality in Ligue 1 consistently and there is no doubt that he has the physicality and technical attributes to thrive in English as well.
Darwin Nunez has not been able to score goals consistently, and it is no surprise that Liverpool are looking at other options. Signing a reliable goalscorer would be a wise decision.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are keen on the player as well. Gabriel Jesus has not been able to score goals regularly and the Brazilian will need replacing. They cannot hope to win major trophies with him leading the line for them, and they need a more reliable goalscorer in their ranks. David would be an exceptional acquisition if they can get the deal done.
