Inter Milan are keen to offload out-of-favour striker Marko Arnautovic in the January transfer window and will welcome offers for the Austria international.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Arnautovic has slipped further down the pecking order this season and finds himself behind Mehdi Taremi in the battle to provide back up to regular starters Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

Indeed, he has only featured four times in Serie A this season, whilst he endured a disastrous appearance against Young Boys in the Champions League in which he missed a penalty.

Inter have made clear that they will not renew Arnautovic’s contract at the end of the season and hope to offload him and Joaquin Correa in January, particularly as it would free up funds to swoop for Federico Chiesa on loan from Liverpool.

However, despite interest from Genoa, Venezia, and Torino, Arnautovic’s high wages are putting potential suitors off as even the likes of Galatasaray cannot take him without assistance from Inter in paying off the final six months of his €2 million per year deal.

Meanwhile, to avoid a loss on the balance sheets Inter would need to secure a transfer fee of at least €2.75m after an initial outlay of €10.9m to sign him from Bologna in 2023.
