The New York Rangers may be willing to make some monumental changes to their current roster.
According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the Rangers have made it very clear they are interested in making moves and shaking up their roster.
In the aftermath of their 6-2 loss in Edmonton on Saturday, the Rangers have made it very clear they are interested in making moves and shaking up their roster.
Among the names indicated are Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba, although other options will be considered.

Friedman added that the names indicated are Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba, although other options will be considered.
Trouba’s name was thrown around in trade rumors all summer long. A deal with the Detroit Red Wings that would have sent Trouba to The Motor City was reportedly in the works before it ultimately didn’t come into fruition.
However, Kreider being involved in these rumors is somewhat of a surprise. The 33-year-old has recorded nine goals in 19 games to start the season.
It’s been clear when watching the Rangers as of late that they have been struggling both in terms of their offensive and overall defensive game withstanding a 12-6-1 record.
It’s pretty rare to make a major move that completely shakes up the roster in the midst of the season, so if these reports are indeed deemed to be true, it would be groundbreaking.
Trouba is the captain of the team and Kreider has been with the Rangers for over a decade at this point. Both players are vocal leaders in the locker room and are staples in New York.
It seems the Rangers will have to do some serious soul searching regardless of if Chris Drury decides to pull the trigger on a deal or not.
